Description
First registered 15 September 1928. Very original and serviceable vehicle. The 9/ 20 as produced between 1925 and 1928 by Humber Limited of Coventry. The engine has a cast iron cylinder block and detachable head and a capacity of 1056 cc. The car can run on standard unleaded petrol. The tank holds 7 gallons.
The car is finished in Humber Mole with black wings and lamps. The seats are in red. This is a 4 seater Tourer and has the original pram style hood. There is also a tonneau which covers the interior of the car along with a separate tonneau to cover the hood when it is folded away.
This particular car was originally owned by a gentleman who was somewhat of a guru regarding the Humber. The 9/ 20 had a weak point in the axle and many years ago, this gentleman designed a strengthened gear cage that bolted to the crown wheel in the back axle. This is still fitted to the vehicle today.
The body work is in good condition with no rot, however there are some slight imperfections in the paintwork but nothing major.
