A very reluctant sale but due to moving house, unfortunately my 1956 Morris Oxford aka ‘Maggie’ has to go.
MOT & Tax Exempt.
I’ve owned the car for just under a year, only reason for sale is I don’t get enough time to drive it.
She is a pleasure to drive once you get the hang of the colum gear change!
She had a new battery when I bought it, along with a starter motor refurb.
For the age of the car, it’s in good condition with just minor things needed I. e Sump gasket, 1 new rear tyre (slow puncture) some chrome bits, speedometer cable, carpet in drivers foot well.
Was told by a member of the Morris Minor club that there is said to be only 50 Oxford Series 2 on the road today, a very rare car with plenty of character!
The car spent a number of years over in Ireland before coming back to the West Midlands.
The 1. 5 Morris engine runs great but engine bay could do with a de grease. Leather bench seats are in very good condition along with leather door cards.
Paint work is also in very good condition with just a small scuff on the front wing.
I also have a booklet full of old MOT and service receipts.
I’ll be sad to see her go but will be nice knowing somebody is getting some use out of her.
She’s a real head turner!
