1972 Suffix A Range Rover Classic 3 door 300 tdi conversion for sale.
Good points:
Freshly resprayed in the original Masai Red.
Freshly converted to a 300 tdi from a Discovery 1, the engine has approximately 150k miles on it and had a new clutch, cambelt and radiator fitted on installation. Rather than bodging what was left of the original loom, a brand new loom was made up and installed along with the new engine. This conversion makes the car incredibly driveable as it now has power assisted steering and is now much more economical than the original Rover V8.
The brake servo was also replaced during the process.
In my possession the car has had a very easy life, despite it's heavy duty off road appearance.
The winch is included in the sale as is the assorted recovery equipment including the ropes, shackles and the hi-lift jack stowed in the rear footwell.
Bad points:
Since the conversion, the power supply to the winch has not yet been reconnected though I can vouch that it was working when I last used it when my brother got his shiny new Defender stuck!
The windows are temperamental.
The driver's side door doesn't shut perfectly, it just needs tinkering with which I don't have time for due to a change of job.
The speedo and temperature gauge have not yet been reconnected.
The interior is not original, nor is it in showroom condition. However, it is very functional and yet perfectly comfortable even on those longer journeys.
Genuine people and viewings are more than welcome but I'm afraid I'm not interested in part exchanges.
