1977 VW Beetle Cabriolet 1200
Perfect for the summer, this striking open top VW bug. Registered on the 21 February 1977, this late 70’s Beetle was given a fully restoration in 1999, including a brand new body shell exceeding £5000 and major other works, including a replacement gearbox. This will of course explain why the car still looks solid and straight today, with a few minor age related mark’s and a couple of very small rust blisters.
The V5 currently shows just 4 previous owners and the mileage shows just over 71, 000. Mechanically the VW appears to be strong and healthy and certainly after a 10-mile drive, there were no issues and she drove very well. The interior is again good and at some point the previous owner has fitted a woven basket style parcel shelf, which I think looks pretty retro. Another nice touch is that the roof is electric and this works without any problems with just the push of a rocker switch on the dashboard.
I would urge interested buyers to come view because this is a very genuine car with some good history, super solid bodywork and clean interior. Perfect for the beach or a country cruise.
