Petrol 2286cc. Tax Exempt. MOT Exempt. Elephant Hide Interior. Recent Canvas. Released in 1974, and only two former keepers since release from the military.
We are delighted to present for sale this very early Series 2a, finished in popular deep bronze green with recent sand canvas.
On the outside, there are lots of nice period features - the bonnet mounted spare, rear bumperettes, recent front bumper and the attachments on the tailgate for a set of pioneer tools to be fitted. The canvas is a recent item, and there is a towball fitted, along with door mounted round mirrors for additional visibility over standard.
The interior houses three very expensive but immaculate Elephant Hide front seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. This is wonderful to see, and really give a fantastic look. The rear is currently unfitted, but could house bench seats on request for £295 fitted to allow seating for seven (Black Vinyl). Elephant Hide rear benches can be quoted for on request.
Out on the road, this old girl drives just as she should, with a quiet petrol engine delivering a pleasing period driving experience, aided by a engine rebuild and unleaded cylinder head conversion.
