Lovely original UK RHD Triumph TR5 - surrey Top and Overdrive.
If you are a purist then please do not read any further as this car has had some serious modifications!
Bodywork -
New inner and outer wings, rear valance, boot, door skins and full respray. summer use only and spent more than one of them having engine or gearbox work. Surrey hard top and Revington Mohair surrey soft top with carry bag.
Chassis galvanised and underbody and arches protected with Dinitrol/ Waxoil. Good paint finish - no rust and good panel fit.
Towing eye.
Engine - Fully rebuilt, +60 forged pistons, steel rods, block bracing kit, harmonic damper, vernier, big valve head, roller rockers. Recently converted to EFI with Omex 710 coil less engine management and lambda sensor.
Very quick and very smooth - makes a superb sound and "growls" on tickover. Absolutely thousands spent on the engine of this car.
Alloy radiator, racetorations small alternator with rose jointed links, lightened steel flywheel.
Gearbox rebuilt and strengthened by Specialist. Uprated overdrive 28% reduction. Revington uprated propshaft, Cambridge Motorsport uprated driveshafts and cosworth type hubs. Alloy front hubs. Quaife LSD with magnesium finned cover.
Alloy finned baffled sump. Alloy fuel tank with swirl pot and new fuel pumps.
Suspension (front and rear) stripped by a recognised supplier, reconditioned trailing arms with roller steel bearings fitted. Laser four wheel alignment undertaken at the same time. Front and rear uprated rose jointed anti rollbars. AVO adjustable shocks on front, Koni on rear.
Hispec four pot callipers, vented and cross drilled disks. Alfin drums on the rear.
Twin big bore performance exhaust system - sounds superb!
Custom made roll over bar with 3" Willans harness with Silverstone adjusters (very expensive).
Ridgard Black leather seats.
3 speed uprated heater and fan

This car has never been raced or rallied. I have owned this TR5 for 9 years and used it sparingly. Due to health reasons and lack of use, it is time to let someone else enjoy this car as much as I have.
