The car is completely original all round including the interior which is in very good original condition (including a rare set of genuine Insight floor mats).
I have owned the car for 2 years and selling only because I have too many cars and not enough space. The car will return 90+ MPG on a run without any issue and a trip around town won’t generally see any less than 60 MPG - amazing considering that it is 18 years old!
This is an original UK car in one of the most desirable colours (I know that’s subjective)!
When I purchased the car, it had been dry stored and laid up for 11 years – hence the low mileage. When I went to view the car, Peter Perkins who is recognised as the expert in the UK on these cars (look him up with google) joined me to inspect the car. I bought the car and had Peter fit a mains charger to allow the IMA battery to be put through a series of charge/ discharge cycles before putting it into use. If you read the specialist forums such as insightcentral. net, the mains charger is seen as useful addition when running the car as it can be used to recharge the IMA battery if the car has not been used for a period of time.
As part of recommissioning the car, all of the fluids were changed and the earth straps replaced (a known point of failure with these cars). The wheels have been refurbished and are diamond cut in line with the original finish. They also have new centre caps and are fitted with a new set of Michelin Energy + tyres all round that have covered circa 2, 000 miles.
The headlight bulbs have been changed for high power bulbs which make a huge difference for night driving.
The car has a new MOT that runs until April 2020.
A genuine car with very low mileage and a surefire investment for the future!
