2 owners from new, New Mexico dry state car.

Imported from California 3 months ago, our aim was to carry out any mechanical work needed to make this a good every day driver which we have achieved, the new owner can finish off to there own level of restoration.

This car was garaged in 1989 and only saw the light of day again 6 months ago.

This car is one of the best rust free examples I have seen that's why we purchased it, the underside is superb ex factory, no rust anywhere or previous welding, all original very hard to find one of these in this condition.

Full ist of all new parts fitted and work carried out.

Brakes: Completely rebuilt, master cylinder, front calipers / pads & fitting kit, rear drums skimmed, brake cylinders, shoes, fitting kit, front and rear flexi hoses, one handbrake cable, rear back plates stripped and re painted.

Engine: Flushed of all fluids and replaced, water pump, fan belt, timing gear cover with the later rubber lipped seal ( no leaks ), carbs set up, battery, radiator removed and flushed.

Front end: Poly idler arm bush , track rod ends, tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, the car was then taken to Amazon Cars, Brundish and had the front end geometry correctly set up.

Rear axle: Half shaft oil seals and bearings, fresh oil.

Other new parts fitted: Ignition barrel with 2 keys plus one blank, speedo cable and gearbox drive unit, exhaust bracket, shock absorbers all round, 5 tyres, UK spec halogen headlights, light switch, number plates plus some other bits and pieces.

Other work caried out, Free up heater controls now all working, some minor re wiring, fix drivers seat now slides, repair exhaust just one tiny hole.

The car now runs and drives superb with no issues, although MOT exempt we took it in for a MOT and it passed with no advisories just to be safe.

Body work: As you can see in the photo's there are a few dings and dents but they will all pull out no new panels required, there are only 2 small bits of rust which will require 2 small patch panels, no other rust anywhere again very rare for one of these.

Interior: All complete and original but the sun has done it's damage, cleans up ok, depends how far you want to take it but could really do with new upper and lower dash pads and door cards.

So that's it really, a great rust free example, something you can drive ever day and carry out further restoration if and when you want to.

Pretty much everything works on the car, gauges, all electrical, overdrive, even the original radio picks up channels.

I have the original owners wallet with the hand book, radio manual, original dealer key tag, some old reciepts etc.
