Description

1969 DAIMLER 250 V8 AUTO

Just arrived in part exchange is this stunning 1969 Daimler 250 V8 Automatic. Finished in resplendent Cyprus Blue with contrasting Navy Blue leather.

This is an incredibly well maintained vehicle that starts on the button and drives so well, a car that will stand head and shoulders above most others that are advertised at substantially more money. It has perfect panel gaps and shutlines and the paintwork is in absolutely super condition all round. The previous owner has recently had all the wheels repainted, front valance removed and repainted as well as lots of old perished rubbers replaced at a cost of £1200 only 6 weeks ago. Tyres all display excellent tread depth.

All the external brightwork and chrome is in excellent condition with no signs of rusting or dis colouring.

The interior is equally as impressive with all the veneers in excellent condition and showing no signs of cracking/ splitting. There is a matching wood rimmed Mota Lita Steering Wheel. The leather is in as new condition throughout with an invoice in the history folder from 18 months ago detailing extensive reconnolisation and some replacement panels at a cost of nearly £900. The headlining whilst not recently replaced remains in super condition throughout and none of the cloth has started to sag.

As you would probably expect the service history is just as impressive as the car itself. The original owners books/ manuals are present aswell as the tool roll and a full size size spare. The maintenance/ history folder is beautifully presented in a large lever arch folder some five inches thick demonstrating just how well loved and maintained this vehicle has been during its 50 year life. The Daimler has been recently serviced and the correct transmission fluid changed, as well as many further recent works completed. Some of the service history highlights include a new alternator control box in November2018 at a cost of £222, new exhaust flexi pipes in July 2018, a complete replacement of the braking system in September 2017 at a cost of £2412; this included new master cylinder, new brake pipes, brake pads, handbrake pads, new hoses and unions, as well as a fuel pump, auxiliary belts and all callipers stripped and rebuilt.

2018 saw all the ignition coil replaced aswell as a new distributor, ht leads, plugs and condenser .

The maintenance folder displays in excess of £20000 worth of receipts as well as a plethora of previous mot’s and tax discs, original brochures and parts catalogues . I would strongly recommend any interested parties call me to discuss the history in further detail as there is lots to talk about!
