On the outside, there are many period features such as the bonnet mounted spare, wing-top mounted mirrors, front and rear lamp guards, new galvanised front bumper and rear vintage grab handles. The vehicle sits on a set of road biased tyres mated to steel modular wheels. Other than this, the vehicle is in fairly standard specification which is always pleasing to see. This vehicle has been retro fitted with rear bench seats, giving seating for 7.
The interior benefits from some deluxe interior trim, including door cards all round and deluxe matting in the footwells, and a load mat in the rear. In the front, there are three recent standard seats. All in all, the interior is a pleasant place to be.
Out on the road, this Series 3 pulls very well with the petrol engine eager to get the vehicle through the gears and up to speed. All in all, it delivers a pleasing period driving experience.
The under bonnet experience is also quite satisfying as there appears to have been some good recent maintenance carried out - a new distributor, HT leads, master cylinder amongst the recent items that have been fitted. A new middle and back box has been added to the vehicle, and it has had a recent underseal, so it is protected for the years to come.
