Overview
An iconic Lotus Esprit SE 2. 2 Turbo 'High Wing' ... This lovely Esprit was first registered in September 1991 and is a particularly well-known car. One of two original factory press cars, this Calypso Red example was much photographed in period, has appeared in a number of contemporary road tests by motoring magazines. It featured on the cover of 'Performance Car' in November '91 and we believe that it was used by Lotus in their displays at various Motor Shows and Motorfairs at the time.
Mechanics
This sparkling Esprit has covered a mere 59, 599 miles. The cambelt has not long been changed and has covered hardly any miles since.
Documentation
Included in the car's documents file are a valid MoT Certificate until December 2021 and a Lotus “Certificate of Vehicle Provenance”. Sensibly guided, this car represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a really nice example of a rare model with lots of history that has patently been well cared for.
There is believed to only be 23 right hand drive left of the Esprit High wing’s left which makes it a very rare car
Bodywork & Interior
The condition of this car is very good and runs and drives superb. The car comes with many old receipts showing how well it has been cared for its whole life.
