Here for a sale is a Laverda 500 race bike project. It has matching engine and frame numbers, and I believe it is a 1978 bike so therefore tax and MOT exempt. I can provide the numbers if you want to check.
The bike as you see it is loosely assembled. Some of the brackets are ‘templates’, such as the footrest brackets and fairing brackets. These will also need to be made or finished off.
So a good winter project for a racer that is eligible for the BHR BEARS series or the Aircooled 500 class with the CRMC. Given the correct dating certificate from the Laverda Owners Club (£25 for members) the bike could be registered for the road
