I have been informed that my classic car ownership days are over…wife has no soul but she will allow me to tinker with my 1954 Austin Champ…
In order to transit into retirement without the expense of a divorce, or on a murder charge, I am obliged to sell my Mercedes E220 Coupe, 1996. A pity as I have only had it since March
A 2 owner car prior to me with a current mileage of 111, 400 and a full service history, mostly main dealer. The MoT is due in March 2020, 2 sets of keys and all original handbooks and workshop manual. Usual big file of receipts.
There is no rust in the usual places or anywhere that I can detect
The driver’s seat bolster shows NO wear to the leather
The green/ black paint is very good, as is the interior
All electrical stuff works including the seatbelt butlers
Modern Bluetooth radio fitted but the original comes with the car
Scratch to one of the alloy wheel but the matching spare is excellent so just do a swop if you are replacing the tyres
Heated front seats, electric mirrors, illuminated vanity mirrors to sun visors, electric windows.
No delamination to the rear screen as it is a BRAND NEW original Mercedes replacement
No rust to the rear screen surround: photos taken during replacement

Tyres still very good matching Michelins
I have replaced the rear screen which had delaminating, at a cost of £730 (original Mercedes heated screen)
There is no rust on the car, The front seat bolster is still showing NO signs of wear important as most cars of this era suffered and it is an expensive task to rectify
Everything works and the car runs perfectly. Electric Mirrors, Heated seats, Factory electric sunroof, radio, rear head restraints drop, etc etc
My electrician has disconnected some of the Clifford alarm functions as they were failing due to age. Remote Central locking still fine.
Current mileage is 111400. Mot in March 2020.
The registration number of E20 CDB stays on the car
These W124 Coupes, this is a very late one, are appreciating in value and are exceptionally well built and can easily be used as a daily driver.
