This 1781cc 8V GTI model runs like a dream.... Regularly serviced, even though it only averaged 1, 500 miles per year. On the road, this car is a pleasure to drive. The bodywork is immaculate throughout, including the interior upholstery, with the underside being wax sealed to prevent any corrosion. Everything works as it should do, and there is currently nothing to do to this car apart from enjoying it! The car has been completely cherished throughout its lifetime, and is just absolutely stunning! The original Volkswagen documents/ wallet, along with its maintenance history, is with this car.
This is the 'original ' hot hatch and is complimented with a sympathetic respray of the same colour as the original had faded over time, and a replacement hood. The wheel arches are perfect ( always a common problem), and there are no dents or scratches.
The vehicles le is not to be confused with a restored model (paintwork and hood aside), as this is a rare, low mileage, low owner, original vehicle with an exceptional provenance. These vehicles are rapidly increasing in value, and are an excellent investment opportunity.! I have had this car for eight years now and its given me nothing but fun and pleasure. The car is currently MOT'd until September, and now SORN as I have taken ownership of a Mk1 'Tintop' to restore. There is an absolutely genuine reason for the sale, and I will be heartbroken to let it go.....
