Description
Here we have a beautiful 1947 Morris 10 Series M.
This model was first registered on 13th June 1947.
Starts on the button no problem.
She's in overall good condition, with the obvious mark or 2 given it's age.
Selling on behalf of my grandfather, who has owned the car for nearly 6 years.
The reason for selling is he is looking for a more usable classic he can run to the shops in rain or shine.
The speedo reads 18314 Miles.
Work carried out in ownership includes:
- Fitted new front brakes
-Overhauled the rear brakes
-Fitted new core plugs
-Renewed fluid and oils throughout
-Rebuilt the cylinder head
-Rebuilt Master cylinder
-Rebuilt Steering box
-Rebuilt dynamo
-5 new tyres fitted less than 100 miles ago
-Resprayed before current ownership.
She has won many shows in the post war category, but is by no means concourse.
There is a slight tear to the passenger seat, and some overall 'age' to the interior, but the leather has been periodically treated and moisturised.
There is a misting of oil underneath, occasionally leaving her mark where she's been. But nothing more than what would be considered normal.
The petrol gauge doesn't and has never worked. It could well be a simple earth fix or sticking sender, but he is no longer able to get underneath to check.
There is a dip stick for the fuel tank provided!
Overall it's a very nice car, not many around anymore. And with the routine maintenance needed for these old girls, she will never let you down.
Plenty of spare parts, including rare manuals and documentation to be included with the sale.
WILL CONSIDER SWAP FOR MORE MODERN CLASSIC
