Here is my 1983 Honda GL Interstate 700. It is a Special Edition version for the Japanese and American market of which 700 were made. This one is number 007 ( see photo)
It has lots of extras like the additional gauges along the top of the dashboard, a Honda top box as well as the original “seat back” box (Commode?) which can be fitted once the pillion seat has been removed. I also have the rare frame which enables both possibilities i. e. a pillion seat and the box behind that.
It has a new Hagon rear shock, a new alternator plus new tyres. One key fits the ignition, fuel tank and luggage locks. The top box has a separate key as does the box.
She has a long MOT with V5 in my name and rides beautifully. It’s the most relaxing bike Ive ever ridden. This 700cc V twin shaft drive bike will take you miles in complete comfort.
Her condition is good considering her age and has typical Honda reliability. I would urge you to take a look if you’re interested because this bike is a lovely example of an unusual classic luxury tourer.
