Description

For Sale, Probably the most beautiful pre-oil cooler original spoked wheel 3c in the United Kingdom.
As a Laverda Main Dealer in the UK (Malcolm Cox, Cox Engineering Laverda 1978) of 40+ years I have restored this bike for myself to ride, however I am still not finding the time required.......

I purchased the bike a year ago from France and since then I have totally restored it with no expense spared.

It is Frame/ Engine 1271 matching numbers, this being the very first of the twin disc models. It is a very rare model as it has 35mm forks.
It has the stunning 200mm massive original big headlight unit, which has a new reflector, rim and lense fitted..

Every single part has been stripped and replated with show chrome, every part re powder coated, and repolished to better than new to a show winning standard.

I have fitted a brand new full Jota chrome exhaust system which I manufacture.

Both wheels have been refurbished & rebuilt using stainless steel spokes.
I stripped the calipers and re anodised them and the disc centres, and rebuilt with new Teflon pistons and new seals.
The seat was recovered on the original foam and seat base and original polished seat trim.
All cables were replaced with new items, and the stainless extended clutch arm was fitted to give a light clutch action.
It has the DMC Witt ignition system and harnessand new modern ignition coils.
It has new Avon tyres and tubes, and brand new Cast Iron disc rotors which I manufacture.

All of the original fasteners were stripped, and replated in bright zinc as new.
New cam and primary chains fitted.
I understand the engine was stripped, inspected and rebuilt by Enzo who was the Belgian Laverda importer, who was famous for building endurance race bikes.

It has been fitted with new 530 o-ring chain, and new sprockets.
Both the original mudguards are repolished and are excellent.
Rear shocks are restored Koni, period for the time.
I fully stripped the paintwork to base, and repainted in a dark candy apple deep midnight blue which comes alive in the sun, it is stunning. It is finished with re enamelled original badges.
It has original replated Brevettato adjustable Jota bars.

I stripped and rebuilt the front forks with new seals and fork oil.
Indicators are all new with original rear indicator bracket and stems..

There are so many more items replaced too numerous to mention, but I am happy to email a full comprehensive list.

The bike was recently displayed on the International Laverda Owners Club stand at the Stafford Classic Bike Show, where it won a Prestigious Top Award of "Best Continental Bike"

I have a full comprehensive list and photographs of the entire restoration done and are happy to send by email.
The work has been well documented on the worlds largest social media site on Facebook "Laverda Riders Worldwide"
The bike is for sale elsewhere.....

In these uncertan ties this is an incredible investment and will increase in value unlike money in the bank.!!!!

If you are at all interested, get in touch and we can discuss this.
I am quite happy to help any purchaser to send the bike wordwide, and do know a few specialist forwarding companies.

If you want the very best available with a long documented pedigree, this is the one...
