EQUIPMENT:
Optioned to 'S' 5 door specification including steel road wheels, radio, cigar lighter with ashtray, folding rear seats, heated rear window, full size spare wheel with original tool pack, RHD traffic headlamps
EXTERIOR:
Finished in 'Steel Grey' Metallic with contrasting Silver road wheels. The coachwork of this now thirty two year old example is remarkable straight along her flanks & carries a very charming overall patina assiosated with over three decades of use, basking in the warm dry climate of Southern France. The underside is strong & solid & has always been garage stored since new.
INTERIOR:
Built with 'S' design light Grey cloth upholstery with striped pattern. The entire cabin area presents itself very well with no rips or torn seats to report. Wonderfully charming to remeber just how basic the original Nova / Corsa 'A' model was!
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Factory supplied with the 1196cc four cylinder O. H. C. petrol engine mated to a five speed manual transmission. This LHD example has been well maintained during her 30 plus years in France & upon arrival in the United Kingdom, she was recomissioned along with new brakes, RHD UK specification headlamps, etc.
HISTORY FILE:
This Nova 'S' was supplied by 'Cournil & Fils' Opel & GM main dealership in Brive, Southern France & first registered on 22nd Novemeber 1988. The Nova is still displaying the supplying dealerships branded, original black pressed aluminium French number plates. The lady keeper recorded had always kept the Opel safely tucked away in her garage when not in use. Fortunately, this has preserved this example.
The car was driven & enjoyed during the 1990's & the final French MoT (Controle Technique) was carried out in May 2006. The Opel was then garage stored in France following the elderly lady sadly passing away & a decision was made by her reletives to keep the car mothballed for the youngest grandson to drive once reaching licence holding age. The grandson sadly decided not to become a driver & the Nova was made available.
An English gentleman then purchased the car & imported her to the United Kingdom in late 2019. The Opel is currently displaying c. 23, 000 miles (36k KM), however due to the car originating in France we cannot warrant the mileage as 100% correct, although it did spend circa thirteen years in dry storage whilst in France following the owners passing.
Supplied with the vehicle is a history folder containing the French 'Carte Grise' registration document, original Opel dealership branded document wallet, previous French MoT (C. T.) certificates, current UK MoT certificate, N. O. V. A. import declaration paperwork & recent parts invoices.
