The Model
The 993 was the last of the air-cooled era of the 911 and reputably the car that nearly broke the company because of the incredible quality engineered into every variant.
The water-cooled models that followed were a commercial success and Porsche were soon back in the black, but that magic honed from granite feel of the 993 would never feature in a 911 again.
This Example
On the road this 993 hides its 20 years of age with remarkable ease, still feeling taught, powerful and agile, whilst modern features such as ABS, power steering, air-bags, air conditioning and 4WD ensure it is a modern classic that can still be used as Porsche intended.
Originally supplied in April 1997, this well specified 993 Carrera 4 manual is finished in the desirable colour combination of Arctic Silver with Black leather interior, it is one of the last to be produced and features the later 285BHP varioram engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The exterior remains in fabulous condition as well as the rare hardback, sports seats along with the rest of the interior.
