For Sale, 1995 Mk1 Triumph Speed Triple 900
Decided to part with my lovely original Speedie, always wanted to own one and over the last year I've had some epic rides on it, but if I'm honest it wants to ride a fair bit faster than I do these days, so time to move on. I did a lot of hunting around to find as original a bike as I could, and settled on this one, and it hasn't disappointed. Here's the details;
Superb original condition, the paint and finish is in amazing condition for a 25 year old bike. Absolutely everything works as it should. Tyres, chain and sprockets, suspension, and brakes are all in very good order with plenty of life in them. I recently rebuilt the front master cylinder and fitted Tokico 6 pot front calipers with brand new pads (original calipers go with the bike and are in good shape), and the bike stops steers and handles with no issues.
Engine wise it's bob on too, no leaks and no nasty noises, it pulls well at all revs and in all gears, just like a Triple should. I keep the bike on an Optimate charger, so no starter sprag issues, and she starts well from cold or hot. I gave the bike a full fluid and filters change when I bought it, and have only covered around 1000 miles since then, so nothing needs doing there. Sadly I don't have any service history. The speedo is showing 38k, and it's going in for a fresh MOT this week, so will have the full 12 months on it.
All in all it's a lovely bike in fantastic original condition, ready for you to jump on and enjoy. Triumph got it right with these first range of triples, the build quality is way above a Japanese bike of the same era. There's no sign that the bike has ever been dropped, even off its stand, and with prices on the rise now is the time to grab a great useable bike that gets people talking everywhere you stop.
I'm asking £3500. 00. For that price I'll include an unfitted high bar conversion (including top yoke), a paddock stand, original Triumph sales brochure in mint condition, and I'll deliver free within 100 miles of IP17 postcode (can deliver further at cost). I'm up for offers, but the extras start dropping off with the haggling!
