This low-mileage TR6 has had a body-off restoration, with thousands of pounds spent from the ground up. The car now represents a striking and very clean example of the very popular Triumph TR6, a much-loved executive sports car which nevertheless was only produced from 1968 to 1976.
The 6-cylinder 2. 5-litre engine is the rarer twin-carburettor version, generally produced for the US market, and these carbs have been beautifully balanced. The engine is very smooth and responsive with a throaty sound when accelerating. The four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive is lovely in operation.
Independent rear suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, deep pile carpets, and decently-sized 15-inch wheels add to the car's allure. But perhaps the most beloved feature of the Triumph TR6 was its performance stats - the TR6 could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8. 2 seconds - and achieve a top speed of 120 mph, according to Autocar magazine.

In traditional British Racing Green with the characteristic spoke wheels, the tan interior and that glorious steering wheel also complement the car's appearance. It adds up to a very striking car and a real pleasure to drive.
All in all the car is in very nice order. The cleanness of the car's underside suggest the odometer reading of 51, 000 miles is genuine. It's a beautiful car absolutely ready to be enjoyed.
