AUSTIN Seven / DOUGLAS Special , engine 1927 bacon slicer fully rebuilt
chassis - frame 1931-ish Douglas 600 , married in 1951 .
Does run but needs work to finish , too many other projects etc etc !!
Will make a lovely vintage electric start rider .
Engine has been rebuilt , magneto SAGA - rebuilt , forks are BSA , carb is Norton Villiers , converted to 12 volt dynamo and it starts and runs well but I made a mistake in making a bevel gearbox for final drive (original did not come with bike) with wrong gearing and it will pull away in third gear ! needs another making with 1 to 1 gearing OR a different gearing on rear wheel which would mean a new wheel with brake a sprocket on opposite sides !! Currently they are together on drive side .
I have no time due to too many other commitments but this will make a really lovely special ! I will not split if engine only wanted . buy the lot . I have a V5.
Also have old buff log book but the DVLA would not give original registration as buff log book says ''none'' under-chassis number !!
