This nice little car has a dual origin: Italian and French, which one can see reflected in its grill logo: "Simca, licence Fiat". Indeed, H. T. Pigozzi buys at the beginning of the 30's, a factory in Nanterre and created SIMCA, the Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile. The first car to be manufactured was the Simca Five in 1936, a Fiat Topolino produced under license. An aesthetic success while retaining the original technical advancements, it would remain a post-war success when production resumed.
This attractive convertible version has been restored by the museum team. Its bodywork, in sound condition, had been repainted in an elegant dark green. The interior has also been redone in grey cloth. The beige canvas roof has been restored. The cars mechanicals have been cared for and should resume their duties with ease. One can only feel affection for this lovely Topolino (mouse in Italian), whose convertible versions are the most sought after.
We inform buyers that all the vehicles in the collection have been little used during the last years as they are part of a museum collection. They are sold as presented and therefore require recommissioning before being driven on the public roads.
