The lovely story of this model:
The Simca 1501 appears in the latter half of the 1960s, in 1966.
Presented at the Paris Motor Show!
A period when SIMCA remained independent, but already closely linked to Chrysler, seeking to refresh its mid-range.
It is, in fact, a more powerful and better-equipped evolution of the Simca 1301, with which it shares its bodywork and much of its structure.
The grille, indicators and front bonnet have been redesigned.
Under the bonnet, it’s a longitudinal 1, 475 cm3 RUSH engine delivering 69 hp that reaches 151 km/ h, a rigid rear axle, and a four-speed automatic gearbox.
Little anecdote: Even the Police adopted the Simca 1500!
