For sale, my 1994 Subaru Impreza STI version 1. I have owned this vehicle for the past 14 months and have done a lot of work on it.
The work done is as follows:
Engine replaced with closed deck complete engine, the original one was overheating badly due to head gasket failure and was an open deck block. This one is excellent and performs well. Starts first time and no unusual noises.
The exhaust has been replaced and has a sports cat fitted to pass the MOT. The tailpipe is not massive but gives a nice tone.
The front mounted intercooler has been removed and a top mounted one is now fitted.
The coilover suspension was awful and has now been replaced with original STI struts which make the car more usable.
The original steering wheel has been replaced with a nicer model (Nardi). There are 4 pot calipers on the front.
There has been some welding work done underneath to pass the mot, sills and some chassis work.
Otherwise the car is original. It is a genuine version 1 STI as can be seen from the plate in the engine bay, see picture. It also has the original version 1 front bumper and grille. The bonnet is aluminium version 1 as well (very rare).
It has the original seats and mats in good original condition, also a turbo timer and satellite tracking/ immobiliser/ alarm. It also has a nice stereo system with blue tooth function.
The wheel arches were rusty so have been repaired using the proper repair panels and has been repainted in original colour.
The wheels have been replaced with more original gold alloys which were powder coated, see picture.
All together this is a very good STI which has had a lot of work done and is now MOTd and on the road.
It could do with some new front wings as they are slightly rusty but not terminal!
It also has the strut brace and dump valve fitted and a K and N air filter. Aircon has been removed.
