Built in 1946, chassic no. 50005 is the fifth DE27 made and is unique in that it is the only DE27 to have( special order) a side mount spare wheel.
The Aluminium high vision coachwork, by Hoopers , is finished in Black over ivory. Concealed running boards are revealed on opening the doors. Large rear boot.
P100 headlights.
Straight six twin su 4086cc engine, is smooth and torquey. Has a stainless steel exhaust fitted by Britannia of Derby, who made an excellent job of fitting the system through the chassis holes as originally intended. The pre select gearbox with fluid flywheel is easy to use, has been 100% reliable, creeps around at walking pass without any possible clutch judder.
Interior has electric division behind the front seats( motor has a problem). Original Black leather to front and Beige cloth to rear. Rear seating for five, three on the wide deep back seat, and two more on the two front facing occasional seats. Walnut Throughout.
Have own car for 14 years, selling due to building work to home.
