This is my 1972 K1 Honda CB500 Four and as you can see it is not entirely standard but then it wasn’t when I bought it. I’ve kept all the parts it came with but I wanted this bike to be usable and only swapped parts out for quality alternatives as required. Starting at the front the following parts are new or refurbished.
Forks tubes rechromed with new seals, headlamp shell and light unit replaced, alternative matching speedo and tacho, indicators front and rear, new handlebars, levers and front brake lines. The carbs have been serviced with new jets as required, a new exhaust system, new points and mounting plate, spark plugs and caps. The seat refurbished and recovered, new side panels. The bike came with good wheel rims, tyres and drive chain.
The bike is good to ride as it is but it would also make an excellent starting point for a full restoration project.
