Description
This Singer 9 Roadster was first purchased on 19th December 1947 by L Y Lines of Dover. He sold it on 7th February 1956, and it then remained within the same family, (Uncle, father and daughter), until I purchased it on 6th July 2017. It was my dream to holiday in the car around the UK with my wife, but circumstances changed, and it was not to be. This car starts and runs well, with less than 44k recorded mileage. Everything seems to work ok - gauges, pop out indicators, windscreen wipers etc. Oil pressure is good, chassis and cross members are in good condition. It has had a replacement hood and tonneau cover, but the side screens are original and a bit shabby. The aluminum bodywork has been hand painted with a brush by a previous owner, who probably also fitted the interesting domestic carpet. Other than an electric fuel pump, the rest seems to be completely original, even the tools. Any prospective new owner could enjoy this car as it is, or indeed restore it to whatever standard desired.
