Description
LandRover Series 3, 1972 (K suffix reg'n).
One of the earliest Series 3 models, having the 'A' suffix chassis number.
Registered with DVLA/ VOSA for Heritage FREE tax and meets criteria for NO MOT (However I have always had MOT's done and it has a fresh one until 21/ 09/ 2021)
96k miles with many MOT's to demonstrate mileage.
It could do with a near side footwell repair section fitting.
An added touch is the paint is the same heritage colour used on the last ever Defender to roll off the production line!
Practical as a daily driver, thanks to the 200Di LandRover engine (Discovery 200tdi engine minus the turbo)delivering 33-35 mpg in mixed use.
Other upgrades include: New clutch/ slave cylinder/ timing belt/ pulleys/ auxilliary belt/ fuel lift pump/ crank seals when engine changed in 2016 @ 94k miles.
Parabolic springs all round (major improvements to ride quality).
LWB twin leading shoe brakes up front (all refurbished last year with new cylinders all round and front flexi-pipes).
Discovery diffs to raise gearing (making 1st gear more usable).
750x16 LWB wheels and tyres (loads of tread MT pattern + matching spare).
Freewheeling hubs.
Light guards all round.
New headlights (halogen) + new lenses all round.
There is a huge folder of receipts associated with the above and other work.
