Unfortunately circumstances dictate my bike has now become an abandoned project so included in the sale will be the parts to complete the assembly.
The original engine had suffered a failed con rod that wrecked the crankshaft and engine cases, I eventually managed to purchase a complete 59/ G12 engine fitted with a nodular crank plus later pistons and heads which, as a precaution, I've dismantled for inspection. 2 weeks prior to being offered that replacement engine I'd already located an assembled crankshaft complete with rods and centre bearing plate, its in good order and I planned on building that into a pair of good crankcases once I'd eventually found some, given that crank assemblies no longer required, along with other parts on the list, this will come with the bike.
Please study the other pictures, the color in the pics looks brighter than it is and is actually original on the oil tank cover and battery box. The bike is in a very presentable condition, the wheels where rebuilt 3 years ago and virtually all the work has been done as my plan had been to end up with a really nice 1959 G12 with a 1959 engine complete with factory upgrades and improvements. i. e that Nodular crank, flat top pistons and the revised cylinder heads.
Once the engines been re-assembled and refitted the next owner will end up with a bike of known quality as the gear box and clutch are good, so no hidden faults waiting to surface.
Repainting and fitting of the correct headlamp cowl plus lens, the rear light and number plate assembly is required and the bike plus associated parts can be viewed taking the necessary distancing precautions needed during this unpleasant pandemic.
The list of parts, most of which are not needed for re-assembly come with the bike, if your familiar with the AMC machines you will know the parts alone are probably worth in excess of £1000 and I'm reluctant to sell them off separately, so please no more inquiries just for the parts as I intend to give the next enthusiastic owner the option on what they would prefer to keep or use on some hard to source parts. Once the sale has been agreed, depending on your location, I may be able to assist with delivery.
