What a find
1964 MK2 Jaguar 3. 4 Manual Overdrive
Warwick Grey with red leather
Barn stored since the late 1970’s
We have given this a clean inside and out so you can see how nice it is
Great colour combo and wonderful patina
Matching numbers with Jaguar Heritage Certificate
Needs some localised restoration work however it’s a real survivor with no serious corrosion- a real gem.
Interior very nice and leather will come up lovely with cleaning and feeding
Walnut trim and picnic tables really good just need re-varnished
Mechanically untested but would clearly need a full mechanical overhaul after the length of time off the road
Showing 97, 000 miles believed correct
Paperwork including copies of 1964 first registration documents from West Sussex County Council, some old MOT’s and insurance documents, Heritage Certificate and V5 in hand. Engine number matches Heritage Certificate
Original distributor Henly's London, Dealer was Boorers Garage Sussex, and first owner was C E Locks Esq
Seems to have spent its latter years in Dundee, Scotland
It’s even still wearing its original and correct solid aluminium number plates (not pressed modern replicas)
For all the anoraks out there (like ourselves) interesting items found inside the glovebox and boot during cleaning include ring binder maintenance manual, Asda Dundee petrol receipt from 1977 (£6 for 5 gallons!), Wm Low receipt, a sheet of 30 unused Pink Savings Stamps, torn cheque for Royal Bank of Scotland Dundee, very old Bryant matches and to top it all off a Milky Way wrapper with a price tag of three and a half pence.
All placed back in the glove box should the new owner be interested.
All in all it’s a cracking restoration/ refurbishment project, totally complete and in a very desirable colour combination
There can’t be many like this left
