For sale is my very rare and original Fiat Pandora camper van by Autohomes.
Only 2 owners from new (1982!)
Genuine 45, 000 miles
I purchased it about 10 years ago from an elderly neighbour who had owned it from new. It had been on his drive for a long time and wasn't being used due to his poor health.
I had it recommissioned with the help of a local Italian car specialist and enjoyed the quirky little campervan with my children for about 5 years.
However due to a change in my circumstances I stopped using it and it was left on my drive for about 5 years.
Therefore, the camper is offered for sale as a project.
During the recommissioning when I first got the campervan, I had some welding repairs done, a full respray and an engine rebuild with lots of parts replaced. I probably only used the camper for 1000 miles during the time it was on the road and it always ran perfectly and started every time until I stopped using it.
Since the campervan has been sat unfortunately it has detreated somewhat.
The interior is all original, the front seats near perfect, but some of the mattress cushions have suffered fading/ damage and some interior wood veneer is coming apart but everything is complete and all original.
Some cosmetic bodywork repairs will be necessary but the chassis is still sound.
I have not tried to start the little camper, I will leave that to the new owner therefore it will have to be trailered away. But as I've mentioned previously the engine was perfect 5 years ago so I'm confident it wont be a problem to get it going again.
There are loads of spares included with the sale and all of the original paperwork including the Autohomes manual which was supplied from new and the log book which shows just 1 previous owner!
It is a shame to sell, but it's the right time for it to go to another home and be brought back to the condition it deserves!
Please review the photos, some of which are from when the campervan was on the road showing the ingenious 'pop-up' roof design which contains both a double bed and single bed within it! Downstairs there is a cooker, sink, fridge and a seating area with lots of storage which also converts to another single bed (sleeps 4 in total!!). It really is a brilliantly designed little camper!
Please remember this is a project and will take a bit of work to get it back on the road, but once done it will make a fantastic, rare campervan once more!
