Pretty as a picture with its red paintwork, roll bar, boot rack and wire wheels, this 1970 MG Midget has a lot going for it.
Not only is it one of the prettiest of the Midget models, this one has been in single family ownership since 2011 and has had dry use only and has always been garaged.
During this time, whatever work has been needed has been carried out and the car runs extremely well with electronic ignition and new rebuilt twin carburettors. Four new tyres have hardly had any use. Very minor work has been done for annual MOTs, and it has just been serviced and received a new MOT. The car comes with a comprehensive history file.
The Mk III Midget is one of the nicest small sports cars to drive and its 65bhp, well-matched gear ratios and light weight give it a lively performance. The wind-up windows and easy-up hood give it a little of the sophistication the earlier cars are lacking. This one is in tip-top condition and has to be an appealing car for anyone wanting a practical classic that is attractive, fun, and easy to live with.
