I've just fitted the front and rear screens and the new window rubbers to the car. I'm off the next week so I'll start putting the car back together, the more complete the car becomes, obviuosly the more valuable the car is.
I have the V5 in my name, the car is registered as an Opel Manta Rallye!
The car is Mot Exempt, road Tax free, ULEZ exempt and is insured for £95 a year..
1973 Opel Manta Rallye, LHD US California car, 1 of 500 cars made for the US market from 70 to 73, spent all of it's life in California until I bought it 2 years ago, registered in the UK properly as a Manta Rallye on the logbook and on an age related plate "YNE 460L".
I have All the glass and rubbers, chrome strips, many new parts, window rubbers front & rear (£80) , Ball joints x4 on double wishbone suspension (£120) clutch cable lhd (£45), new front suspension bushes and subframe rebuilt and painted (£500 in total)... new black roof lining fitted (£140), new boot rubber (£40), earthing straps (£20), front seats are early 80's Recaro's (£180) 13" Staggered ATS Classics (£350 used) Soundmat soundproofing (£80) 2. 0S engine and gaskets (£350), Clutch release bearing (£30) As New clutch, Electronic Ignition (£40) New black interior door handles (£40} Steering rack rubber boots (£30) Mint condition set of rear lenses x4 from a Uk car £60., new rear exhaust (£45)... Very clean car and original car with minimal rust, still on it's original paint and underseal!!!!.
Rock solid in the usual Manta rust area's
Have the original wheels, vents, badges.
Engine is a 2. 0s on the original 4 speed manual gearbox, but I lave the original 1. 9s engine that dropped a valve.
One key fits all locks and ignition!

Easliy a £20k+ car once restored due to it's condition and rarity or put back together and use as is!
A 1974 1. 9SR that had been cat-c write off sold on classic and car auction fpr £15, 250 and is off to Ireland.
