This is a mk1 car fitted with a mk3 engine and gearbox.
As you can see from the photos, overall the exterior bodywork and paint are in good condition. The interior and hood are both also in good condition.
This car has undergone extensive work over the past two years in order to get it to the stage now where it drives very nicely and is very reliable. It starts on the button, has good oil pressure and holds temperature incredibly well (and that’s in London traffic!)
Some of the key work done includes a reconditioned head (including hardened valve seats), flushed engine waterways and recored radiator. New clutch plate, clutch cover and thrust bearing and a skimmed flywheel. New brake pipes throughout, new front and rear brake cylinders, front brake shoes, master cylinder and handbrake cable. New aluminium fuel tank and fuel lines. New control box and a switch to negative earth. Reupholstered front dash along with rear cockpit and door trims. And it now sits on a new set of Michelin X tyres.
A full dated list of all works carried out including all receipts will also be supplied with the car, along with an original radio, tool kit and side screens.
