Most cars can be described in a single word. After one drive in this beautifully restored MCG that word is Sleeper. Then after doing research for this web description, sure enough an article from Hemmings Motor News shows up with the headline “The Ultimate Sleeper – 1969 MGC. The article was truly accurate. An MGC is nearly identical to the MGB with the exception of the pronounced bulges on the hood. The larger radiator and twin carbs required this. But it takes a sharp eye to notice the difference between a B and a C. Both share the same dimensions and even the Badges look the same at a glance. The true difference comes when you get behind the wheel. The 145 horsepower straight 6 cylinder engine really makes a difference. Hence the word Sleeper. The performance of a C is so much more satisfying than the MGB. Although heavier at over 200 pounds, the MGC is still nimble and very, very fun to drive.
- Our MGC comes to us from a Gentleman that has transitioned his passions from Land to Sea. In other words, he bought a boat.
