Cherry X-1R Tribute. Started life as a Uk Datsun 120A. Kpe10 coupe. Now 99. 9%Cherry X-1R. Japan only model. The top sporting model in Japan. Differences being Twin Carbs, Oval port bigger valve head, high lift cam engine wise. Datsun 120A 69hp. Cherry X-1R 80hp. Body and interior wise. Different front grill, indicators, overfenders as standard, fender mirrors (wing) ????. Badging, 13 inch steel wheels versus 12 inch. Interior nearly the same. Steering wheel different and glovebox had Cherry on not Datsun. All these modifications have been carried out taking over 5 years finding parts from Japan. List of parts 99%new. X-1R mirrors. X-1R fender flares. X-1R front grill(Early spec) X-1R indicators. X-1R badges. X-1R steering wheel. 13 inch Steel wheel and X-1R spec hubcaps. Nos Short early X-1R spec bumpers. Nos rear taillights and reversing lights. All chrome excellent. New window rubbers, door rubbers, boot rubber. New boot struts. New carpets. Seats reuph olstered . New fuel tank, lines, electric fuel pump. Brakes calipers recond, new master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders, shoes and pads at front. New wheel bearings, new alternator, battery, coil, electronic ignition. Bodywise. New front wings, outer sills. Full repainted in original X-1R white including engine bay. Engine fully stripped and checked, ovalport head fully recond, X-1r cam, double valve springs all new Nissan gaskets. Janspeed exhaust manifold, 1. 75inch exhaust into Cherry bomb backbox. Very nippy indeed, only 650kg
