Description
Singer manufactured a range of sports cars between 1933 and 1937. Most were equipped with a free revving 972cc ohc engine and took part in numerous competition activities, including the famous Le Mans races. This particular car is from 1936 and has the underslung chassis introduced in that year giving improved road manners. WS 5366 could probably be described as a running restoration and has various faults requiring attention. There is a poor block repair, and the rear springs have been set up too high. There is an induction air leak to be sorted. The tonneau is decent, but the hood is poor. On the good side, the radiator has been refurbished, and the wire wheels have been rebuilt. It has the counter-balanced heavy crankshaft. The braking system has been refurbished with the master and slave cylinders being fitted with stainless liners. The original seats have been re-stuffed. There are various spares with the car including a block. WS has taken part in various long distance club events. The recorded mileage suggests she has been round the clock a time or two! Offers are invited in the region of £11, 000. 00
