Description
Rolls Royce Silver Shadow S1 from 1971 finished in Porcelain white (Ivory shade) coachwork trimmed with the finest Connolly tan hide leather. And Chrome bumpers all round.
With a 6. 7 litre V8 driven through a 4 speed automatic gearbox is joyous. With power steering and advanced brakes for a car built in the 70's. Not too long ago all pads were replaced, but the pedal is a little low and soft. So braking system needs a flush and bleeding.
Opulence is everywhere in the cabin with dual zone climate control (needs regassing) electric seats and windows which work fine and speedily. As do all the lights and electrics. The leather throughout the car is faultless with no tears or rips and still plump. The interior wood, in some cases the veneer and varnish needs redoing as its flaking. Plush woollen foot rugs placed under your feet for super comfort while you sit back in what feels like a favourite armchair. Leather headlining is perfect throughout, along with all door cards.
Paintwork and bodywork and all chrome in good condition,
some rust appearing on arches and a little on sills. No surprise for a 53 year old car. Maybe some localised paint repair to be done. Full respray to make it look concours condition.
Engine runs starts well , idles evenly and still pulls as it should. No oil leaks or loss of coolant or fluids. Recently had service parts and leads, plugs and dizzy cap etc. Oil change and coolant.
Fan belt needs replacing as its whining and the nitrogen operated suspension needs investigating as its on its springs now. Very much a good rolling project which might need upwards of £2k to really sort and make a super nice car.
