Triumph Spitfire – with GT6 2 litre engine
This is a very solid project car - just arrived from sunny California
It has been modified over the years to produce a very nice specced up little car. It has a GT6 2 litre straight 6 engine, wide Slot Mag alloy wheels, roll cage and a glassfibre GT6 bonnet fitted
It is extremely solid in all usual areas – I have many more pictures of floors, etc to show how good it is – the only obvious bits that I can see needing attention are the battery tray where battery acid has spilt and eaten it away (but if converting to RHD – this panel will be changed anyway).
All original metal and panels – The doors are good and the bootlid is one of the very cleanest that I’ve ever seen. Boot floor, floorpans and chassis all look very clean. There is no hood or frame with it.
Having imported a few Triumphs and MG’s over the years - this one is a solid little car and a great start for a project.
This is an ideal start for a novice restorer or someone with limited welding experience – it would be an ideal donor for a rusty UK car – or it would make a great track car – it could also be restored back to original
It is a nice desirable early car
Unlike so many restored / rusty spit / gt6 the door gaps on this are amazing
What you see is what you get, the previous owner must have had great fun driving in sunny California in this quick little car
The engine is a 2 litre straight 6 – it turns freely with good compression
So to summarise, this is an easy project and little work is needed (apart from areas previously mentioned) – please look past the sun crazed paint and tatty trim as it is a solid car and so much easier than trying to resurrect a rusty UK car.

With prices steadily rising on these early Triumphs, this is the perfect time to purchase this solid project at a fraction of the cost of restoring a rusty UK car or buying a heritage shell (if they ever make them for these!)
It comes with all import / nova documents to allow registration with a uk age related plate. This is a very easy process - guidance can be provided on this.
