The Abarth 500 Assetto Corse was presented in October 2008 on the occasion of the WTCC in Monza. The Assetto Corse was built by Abarth according to FIA regulations as a pure race car with welded roll cage, racing bucket seat and Sabelt 6-point seat belts, largely hand-built. The 1. 4-litre 4-cylinder turbo was increased to 200 bhp, power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. An adjustable suspension and OZ-Racing 17" wheels with Michelin racing tyres ensure roadholding, and deceleration is provided by a Brembo brake system front and rear. The front apron with a huge air intake, the large rear wing and a rear diffuser with a dual-flow sports exhaust system give the car a brawny appearance. The Abarth 500 Assetto Corse is limited to just 49 examples and had a new price of around CHF 97, 000, making such a vehicle correspondingly rare. Our little racer was produced in 2009, imported to Switzerland as a new car in 2017 and integrated into the collection of the last owner in 2019. With only 135 kilometres driven, without racing, the Abarth is almost in delivery condition and is duty paid in Switzerland.
