In 1912 Humber introduced a new model, the 11 hp , this was an advanced model and the first Humber had ever produced with a four cylinder Monobloc, up until that point Humber had cast their cylinders blocks in pairs. With wire wheels and both foot operated transmission brake and a handbrake operating rear drums, the 11 hp offered quality and comparative performance to the Edwardian purchaser, indeed during 1912-14 a special bodied 11hp broke a number of records at Brooklands , the 14hp model gaining 1st place in the March 1913 Easter sprint race.

A quaint little Edwardian in fine running order. Much money has clearly been spent on this Humber 11hp Tourer in recent years.
The last elderly engineer/ owner dismantled the engine when he first got it and found that it had fresh main bearings recently fitted and was already in a fine rebuilt shape. The magneto has been converted to coil ignition to ensure reliable running. Since then it has been scantly used for the off high day or holiday local jaunt. The 1, 600cc four cylinder unit fires up easily and pulls well with the three speed gearbox being easily mastered.
This Coachwork is Humber's own take in the form of a comfortable four seat open- tourer. Black button upholstery exactly replicating the original patterns and retaining the original horse hair stuffing.
To the exterior is pale grey paintwork. The new roof is in a very good shape and its a black canvas affair with leather straps running down to the front wings giving a very period appearance when erected. The Humber 11hp Tourer has a good selection of period fittings including a brass acetylene generator and various period lamps.
