This is a very original car and the history suggests that the mileage – circa 51, 500 – is correct. It has been worked on but has the original engine and drive train – all the numbers match. It has been repainted in it’s original; colours, blue with black mudguards. The interior leather has been renewed, also in blue, and carpets have been added (not original of course). The car has a new battery, is ‘on the button’ and drives well. The synchro in the ‘box works well and the brakes are good, the front ones having been converted to Bendix type, again not original. The front shockabsorber has been rebuilt and the wheels and tyres are in good order.
The paint and chromium are in excellent condition but the hood needs some attention.
This car is quite rare having the benefit of a ‘Ruby’ gearbox and propshaft, making a smoother ride, but a pre 1935 chrome radiator cover giving it a more vintage appearance.
Anyone interested would do well to come and see the car and possibly have a drive.
