******* SOLD*********
For sale, a special 190E 2. 0 petrol Automatic finished in Bornite Metallic with the full (952) Sportline package consisting of front and rear Black Leather Bucket Seats, 390mm Sports steering wheel, Sportline gear shifter and Sports Chassis.
It comes with PAS, drivers airbag, ABS, four electric windows and electric tilt/ slide sunroof.
The overall condition of the car is very good indeed. It has been garaged by both myself and previous owners. The paint has an even finish and is highly polished, there are one or two small chips and marks but is as good as could be reasonably expected for a 28-year-old unrestored car with this mileage. There are some micro bubbles/ blisters in the paint on a couple of the arches.
The superb black leather Sportline interior is in great condition, the back seat appears to have barely been used and the fronts are in similar condition with minimal wear - see photos. The carpets show no signs of excess wear.
The Zebrano trim has a really good shine, the dash needles are nice and orange and the 390mm Leather steering wheel is great to hold. It is fitted with a Pioneer CD/ Radio, with dash speakers, Pioneer speakers in the rear and a working Hirschmann Power Antenna.
I also still have the Blaupunkt Boston RCC45 Radio Cassette player which came with the car, included in the sale.
The service history of the car is as follows:

Before I purchased it, the car also had new front discs and pads fitted and HT leads, expansion tank, thermostat, cap, coolant and fan switch were replaced. It also had 2 new genuine Mercedes Sportline front springs. The wheels were previously refurbished and have 4 Continental tyres with at least 4-5mm tread.
Everything picked up on the latest MOT was dealt with so there are no advisories and the new MOT runs until 6th June 2022.
Very little mileage since the MOT test was done this year.
Mechanically the car is very good. Aside of the exceptional service history, the car has recently benefitted from new rear brake discs/ pads, a new fuel pump/ filter/ regulator assembly, a new radiator, a new battery and a new OVP relay. This is the best driving W201 I have owned, the engine is lively, the transmission shifts exactly as it should, there is no play in the steering, knocking or clunking from the suspension and the car handles well on its Continental tyres. It also has a Cobra Stainless cat back exhaust which fits flusher to the underside of the car (it isn’t loud or obnoxious in any way and doesn’t drone on the motorway).
I have owned the car since November 2018. In the last 18 months, the car has done minimal miles (thanks to C19) and has been kept in the garage under a dust cover, apart from when getting polished (sad hobby!).
As can be seen, the car has been maintained pretty much regardless of cost and has an A4 file of invoices for what has been spent on the car throughout its life. It has 3 sets of keys, 2 working immobiliser remote fobs with recent new batteries, all MOT certificates, tax discs going back to 2004 as well as all the owner’s manuals (including a fully stamped service book) and general paraphernalia.
Surely one of the best W201s available in terms of specification, driveability and documented service history. With its stunning Bornite colour and Sportline spec, this special and possibly unique 190E is ready to be driven and enjoyed by its new owner.
