Superb and rare example offered of the pinnacle model of the Mk1 Audi TT range, this 2006 quattro Sport has covered just 64K miles and has been maintained properly on an annual service schedule.
Rarer still finished in stunning Mauritius Blue Pearl paintwork, complete with colour coded Recaro Pole Position bucket seats, this TT presents beautifully with the two-tone Phantom Black roof, pillars and mirrors and the drive is fantastic, smooth and quick on the revised quattro Sport suspension and dedicated 18” alloy wheels. The interior is trimmed in unmarked black alcantara and leather with Mauritius Blue seat backs.
The TT quattro Sport was built in Germany by quattro GmbH and was a lightweight version of the Mk1 TT with uprated power (240PS) and built in limited quantities with around 800 coming to the UK (this example being number 550). This weight reduction was achieved by removing the spare wheel, rear harmonic damper, rear parcel shelf and rear seats, and the standard fitment air conditioning (which was usually fitted back in as a no cost option as is the case here). The main battery was also relocated to the rear of the vehicle in order to maintain weight distribution as much as possible. Lightweight fixed-back and colour coded Recaro Pole Position bucket seats form a focal point of the interior.
Distinguished from other TT Coupés by the two-tone paint scheme (Phantom Black pearl painted roof, pillars and mirror housings, in combination with either Light Silver, Avus Silver, Phantom Black, Mauritius Blue or Misano Red body colour) and unique 18" 15-spoke cast aluminium alloys plus the same body kit as fitted to the TT 3. 2 V6, the TT quattro Sport also featured black exhaust tailpipes and uprated suspension settings and new wheels, ½" wider at the rear for improved handling.
The TT qS looks great in any of the 5 paint shades offered but you will note if you have been searching that Mauritius Blue examples appear more rarely than others and sits nicely between the stealth and look at me versions. The paintwork is in excellent condition.
The Recaro Pole Position bucket seats provide a sense of theatre and also do their job very well. Options were few (and largely no-cost such as climate control re-installed as with this car and the possibility of comfort seats in lieu of the Recaros), but this car does also have the benefit of the Bose Speaker option.
