We purchased this Intercepter a few weeks ago ( October 21)
It indeed has not been on the road since 1982

Matching numbers vehicle

On first glance we were ( oh dear what have we bought ). However after having on the ramps and giving it a good check over we were pleasantly surprised .

There is fabrication works needed the the front spoiler section and rear under panel are frankly not there any more .

The bumpers despite all complete are very rusty .

The engine turns ..

This is a big project but we have handled many big projects and this is just another day in the office .

This particular interceptor is staying its factory colour .
Indeed this vehicle has never had any paintwork in its life .

It however needs fully stripping now .

So currently car is being stripped the paint is being taken back to bare metal .
All of the chrome and items that require are being sent of to be either highly polished or chrome plated .

Work is under way ..

We anticipate 6 months to complete so come the Spring 22 assuming no hidden surprises the vehicle will be ready .

The vehicle itself was purchased by the last owner in 1977 ..

It was used until 1982 .

It was then put in a garage and it was brought out again this year .

It was supplied in July 73 and its colour combination was Havana with beige interior .

It is worth pointing out the interior is in fantastic condition.
A good leather feed and clean is all it will need .
Carpets again very good and we may well use again after a good clean
Dashboard no cracks or marks ..

We have invoices from day one .
The first owner being a Mr Cooper of Hampstead NW3 London
Charles Follet being the dealer whom maintained the car .

There is interesting paperwork in the file from Jensen ltd to the first owner ..

It would appear he owned the car a few years .
It then had 2 subsequent owners before it was laid up and not used further .

This really will be a delightful example in a striking colour .
It will be complimented as it is currently with its cream vinyl roof and new white wall tyres on freshly refurbished alloys .
