After a long discusion with my self, I list up for sale my 1983 Ford Capri mk3 Cabaret II edition with lots of work done to it.
I have owned the car for 14 years, it has been part of the family for all this time. It has never slept out doors, always being dry stored in a private garage.
It is restored and modified to my driving style, trying to allways use original capri parts, or at least ford.
Body:
Is has a full respray done in 2012 including engine bay, eliminating some minor rust that it had in the real wheel arches. Is has a turbo front spoiler. All the lines seen are painted, not decaled, including the thin side ones. It has new window rubbers and seals, 4 spot lights ( just decoration not conected) All plastics are in good condition ( bumpers, grilles etc...)
The car has a 2. 8 crosmember with the original powersteering from capris. A refurbish unit was bought and fitted from Burtons at 2016
Engine:
It has had a complete engine rebuild during lockdown, finishing the proyect at the beggining of 2021. It is a pinto 205 block 2. 100cc with new pistons, seals, gakets, a kent cams kit, new pumps, custom made pulleys for wide accesories belt so it doesnt slip with the power steering, saab turbo inyectors, sportex full exhaust, alloy bigger radiator with electric fan, oil cooler, steering fluid cooler and many other work done like refurbishing all the electricity of the car.
Transmision:
It is running a brand new clutch conected to a 5 speed Type 9 gearbox. Propshaft is the original 5 speed from the capri and the rear axle is runing a shorter 3. 77 ratio diff. The gearbox is fitted with a quaife quick shift lever.
Suspension:
It has complete GAZ adjustable shocks with Burtons -1" 190lbs/ inch front springs. It also has front and rear 2. 8 thicker ARB, all silentblocks are purple powerflex. TCAs where changed in 2016 along with new alloy hubs. Front bearings are from 2016, rear bearings have just been changed ( SKF)
Brakes:
All the braking is from a v6 capri.
Fronts have vented discs with new callipers form rallydesign bought in 2016, mounted with EBC Greenstuff pads.
Rear brakes have been completly rebuilt in summer 2021 and upgraded to 2. 8 drum sets with everything new.
Master cylinder and brake booster are also from a 2. 8 v6.
They have a goodridge braided steel lines.
Finally the front coper lines where made from new.
Interior:
It is a RHD Uk car, it has a complete set of recaros half leather that, sponge is ok and very confortable, but leather needs some love, although I havent refurbished them of the original old car leather smell that I love. It has a metal laser cutted front facial for the dials to match the steeringwheel. Dashboard needs trimming and it is included in the price to new owner can choose. It has a water and oil temperature gauge. All the rest is original and in good state.
Finally:
Car runs great, lots of fun to drive. It is in Málaga, south Spain. Ive got the original Uk plates, being a 02-1983 it is a Y reg. I have easely arround 1000 pictures from all the work done and I have probably forgoten stuff. Feel free to contact and solve any doubts or ask for further information.
