!971 Dodge Challenger 340 RT, genuine S code car,
4 previous owners, ive had the car almost 6 years,
Build Sheet, Broadcast Sheet, almost every MOT and invoices from 1988, No Fender Tag, long gone!
Correct Year dated 340 small block, X heads,
This was a dealer supplied replacement, and the ID platform is unstamped, so cant be sold as matching numbers, This was fully rebuilt by Sussex Racing Engines in 06 and has done less than 5000 miles since!
Performa Inlet, Holley 4 Barrel, MSD pro billet Dizzy, Hooker Headers, Mini Starter, 3" Full Flow master 40 Series Exhaust, 727 Heavy Duty Auto Trans, with 2500 Hole Shot Converter, 8 3/ 4 open Diff, with new Strange Axles, the whole braking system replaced.
new Master Cylinder, new Calipres, Pads, Shoes, wheel cylinders, New Flexi Hose's, new Brake pipes through out.
Bare metal repaint 2 years ago, hundreds of pics, The car retains almost all of its original sheet metal, including the trunk floor!
The rear Quarters are original, but have had fabricated wheel arch repairs, as have the rear drop off's, the car had various repairs done, before the filler work was completed, then the car was polyested, Epoxy sealed , 2K primed, blocked, reprimed, blocked and refinished with 4 coats of base, and 4 coats of top spec 2k clear, blocked again, and fully polished,
the paint is show winning standard,
was E 5 Red, now Hemi Orange, was Black inside, Now Ivory and mint interior, new Quality carpet, new Tread Plates,
Did have a Vinyl Roof, but i decided not to have the one a brought from the US fitted, but it comes with the car along with the stainless trims.
Brand new ARE's 15x8's with Brand new BFG's.
Also comes with the 4 original 14" Rally wheels, complete with BFG's and the centre caps and beauty rings, one of which is the current spare,
The cars lovely inside and out, drives very well , goes very well, drops jaws every where,
The last MOT was back in 16' the only reason ive not bothered getting one since they were no longer required is the car has been returned to US spec lighting! ie orange side lights, and flashing brakes lamps to the rear!
It just looks cooler, however its an easy job to revert to UK lighting spec if its a worry.
Fancy a change is the only reason for the sale, so a PX with cash either way is a possibility,
