My rare Civic Type R for sale. Premier Edition end of line model with Recaro Trendline seats, red carpets, facelift front/ rear and AC.
The car has 168k from new and had been owned by my friend who bought the car in 2010 when it had low mileage and fHsh. He has used the car commuting and serviced it privately every 10, 000 miles. The person servicing the car is also a friend of mine and works in professional Motorsport building race engines for super touring cars.
I have numerous receipts and old MOT's including a new clutch/ rear main seal at around 130, 000 miles.
My car is totally original and is supplied with the original Lind Honda supplying dealer number plates, full book pack/ sales brochure and both sets of keys/ alarm fobs.
Unfortunately, the MOT expired at the end of September and the car has suffered with following more recent issues:
- Catalyst damage as it was tried to removed from the car by thieves (large exhaust blow due to damage)
- Smashed rear screen (they were annoyed they couldn't get the cat off and decided to break the screen as they left)
- Smashed rear light (new part is here and will be fitted ready for the new owner)
- Leaking rear main seal (again!)
- Requirement for clutch replacement due to oil contamination and some slippage at high revs
In order to get this project up and running, I have purchased the following parts for it's repair and these will be provided with the vehicle:
- Genuine Honda Premier Edition rear privacy glass (hard to track down - will need fitting or I can have fitted for full asking price)
- Genuine BM Catalysts OEM fitment catalyst assembly with full fitting kit (you could sell the existing cat for a good amount of money)
There are some other outstanding issues on the vehicle which need addressing and I am again providing the following brand new spares with the vehicle:
- Japanese OEM rocker gasket kit (area looks wet)
- ADL Blueprint rear brake discs and pads (coated discs to avoid corrosion)
- ADL Blueprint front brake pads with Juratec front brake discs (coated discs to avoid corrosion)
- ADL Blueprint service kit comprising of OEM air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, cabin filters
- Shell Helix HX8 5W40 fully synthetic engine oil
This is the cheapest Premier Edition in the country by a long way with the price being commensurate with the remedial work needed. The engine runs super smooth with no noises from the timing chain; the bodywork and interior are more like 70k. It starts immediately on the button with a with a new Varta battery that has just been fitted.
An ideal project for someone to get back on the road or turn into that track car you've always wanted. It's a super smart and super clean example with no rust anywhere and has been well looked after by one of my closest friends.
