1956 Morgan 4/ 4 Sports Car
Morgan +4 manufactured in 1956 first registration January 1958. 3 Previous owners + a number of others all recorded in the original Buff Log Books. Finished in Le Mans Green with Black Leather interior, black roof and tonneau cover.
The car has the benefit of a no expense spared total rebuild and is in 1st class stunning condition. The work recently being completed after a six year project carried out by a retired engineer.
So here we have a stunning Morgan +4, Reg No. 744 ACV, Chassis Number 3458,
Engine Number TS1002 FR (Triumph TR3) 1991cc with a Moss 4 Speed Gearbox.
The chassis is by G. E. E. Engineering and is powder coated, complete new body in ash, including new doors and painted with 7 coats. Paneled in aluminum by Vintage Sheet Metal (V. S. M) who also made the bonnet and front cowl. New Front Grille, radiator core, thermostat and housing. New front and rear wings from Vintage Wings and Rads Manchester, suppliers to Morgan. New bulkhead and inner wings are by V. S. M. The engine has been rebuilt, crankshaft reground and new shells, new pistons and rings, new valves and springs, cylinder head skimmed and modified for unleaded fuel. New starter motor, rebuilt Moss gearbox, The rear axle had been previously rebuilt, new clutch, new brake linings, master cylinder and new brake pipes. New fuel lines, petrol pump and sender unit. 5 new 15” wheels and tyres, New door mirrors, door handle and locks. All instruments refurbished by Melvin Rutter (Morgan Agent). New Battery (12v positive earth), wiring loom, regulator and isolater switch. New shock absorbers and rear springs. New Exhaust, new front and rear lights. Re-chromed windscreen frame with new safety glass and side screens. All the interior, hood and tonneau cover replaced by Stitch Perfect (ex Morgan trimmer). The car has a new heater and a new leather bonnet strap.
